Some Less Interesting Details, But It's My Site So Here We Are
I'm Heather Papovich.
I've been writing professionally for years, usually under other people's names. I started this site in 2025 in a pure "screw it" moment after years of writing other things and never having the nerve to let other people read them.
ChatGPT calls me an ambivert, but I think that's only because I'm married to an extrovert who's responsible for talking me into half the crazy shit I end up trying.
Like this place.
I'm originally from Louisville, KY, and currently live in Wisconsin with my husband and assorted family members while researching warmer-climate retirement options.
(I mean, people tell me to go to hell, but I'd like something less humid, at least).
When I'm not writing here, I write professionally for clients in just about every industry. Most of my career has been spent happily behind the scenes.
But sometimes you just gotta say the thing, so here we are.
In my free time, I'm usually running off last night's "just one bite won't hurt", chasing the dog to take away whatever she's gotten ahold of this time, picking things up off the floor that apparently are invisible to GenZ, and trying to remember what I was doing before someone asked me a question.
I also spend a lot of time debating with The Balkan Storm over which movie we're watching next.
Between us, we have kids, grandkids, and enough chaos to supply me with infinite content.
I'm a lifelong movie nut, a runner at ungodly hours, and someone who still doesn't accept most deaths in the MCU.
